我是最近才知道這系列小說在美國被禁。雖然是禁書，但是倒不像臺灣以前白色恐怖時代的全面性、強制性和恐怖性。這小說在美國是「馬照跑、舞照跳」——在書局仍是有販售，圖書館照樣有陳列，差別只是有些州的學校圖書館不進這書。雖是這樣，我還是有些吃驚就是。
