我在網路上看到有人提到台灣的老師會教「吃」(三餐)的英文要用"have",不可以用"eat"。這種詭異說法,我只能以「難以置信」來形容。好奇之下我用Google找了一下看看是否台灣真有老師這樣子教。我沒花太多時間找,沒找到,不過倒是找到一篇blog(有「新加坡」字眼)寫說吃午餐的英文講"eat lunch"是錯的,正確的要說"have lunch"或是"t*** lunch"(!!!天啊... 幸好那只是個blog。為避免有人「不小心」背這錯誤用法我就不列出完整的字)
我簡單說,eat 和 have 都可以用於表達「吃」(三餐),兩者的(細部)差別只是在於"eat"比較是直接在講吃的動作(或是單純的敘述)。"have"的話有較多的涵意。剩下的話要看說法/情境本身。
