我好奇點了這個 link 來看，裡頭提到：
1.他宣稱"smart phone"寫成兩個字是錯誤，"smartphone"一個字才對，裡頭還引證多家字典(含Merriam-Webster和Collins)和網路文章。
我剛隨手查了一下：

字典也引用了很多報章例句，比如:

是多了些標註，但是不能因此說是錯誤

網路英美報章雜誌書籍例子太多了，有興趣的人可以自行玩玩。
2.他宣稱把手機寫成phone(s)是錯誤，因為phone是「電話」，所以這錯誤非常離譜，且"no phones while walking"完全不知所云

我們在美國日常上現在一般是直接用phone來表達「手機」，畢竟太普遍了，特別是年輕一代也許沒用過牽線的數字按鈕"telephone"。
至於"no phones while walking"，這是一位考生寫的...算是用於他的英文作文裡頭的標語。畢竟是英文作文，這位考生創造出的標語不是表達實際情況，所以我換個字眼來找，但是語法相同且會在美國生活上實際遇到的表達：(都是指手機)
* No Phones While Driving, Boise. (標題)(*1)
* New 'hands free' law means no phones while driving come September (新聞標題) (*2)
* My husband and I are sometimes cited for the “no phones while watching TV” rule ...(*3)
* “No phones while eating, no phones after ten,” Luna repeated, scribbling away.(*4)
這讓我想起許多年前臺灣第一次遇到 SARS 時有位高中英文老師投書報紙指責臺鐵的英文告示用字錯誤。臺鐵用的乘客字眼是 "riders"，他說這是錯的，因為 "riders" 是「騎士」。另外就是 "masks" 用於表示口罩也是錯誤，因為 "masks" 是「面具」。
唉... 無言啊。
